Scratch Day 09 competition


The competition used the topic 'Try Scratch' from the 'Design Studio Activites'
Teams had exactly 1 hour to build a product aligned with the competition theme.
Team Prizes were provided by Uni SA and awarded to the top 5 entries based upon creativity and team work.
Facilitator prizes were provided by Uni SA and awarded to the top 3 GHS facilitators
All students received a 2GB memory stick from TAFE SA Information Technology so that the entries and resources could be taken back to their respective schools

The Judges made the point that the entries were outstanding and the task of choosing the winning entries was very difficult.

Grant High School facilitator results

Prizes were also awarded to the top three Grant High School team facilitators. The criteria for judging this was based upon facilitation skills not their skills with using Scratch. The IT Industry needs people who also have good people skills.
